FloWorks is committed to conducting business in an ethical, legal, and socially responsible manner. FloWorks Environmental Policy Statement (Policy) outlines our commitment to sustainability, the efficient use of resources, and compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations.
This document is applicable to all employees and all business units under the FloWorks group*.
FloWorks is committed to mitigating climate change through the implementation of energy efficiency measures and renewable energy considerations to reduce overall energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. FloWorks also aims to implement measures to reduce non-GHG air and atmospheric pollutants, where possible.
Each FloWorks site is expected to consider, develop, and/or use measures to promote energy conservation where possible. This includes shutting down equipment when it is not in use, utilizing energy efficient lighting, technology, or other equipment with the ENERGY STAR® label or other leading ratings and certifications, and improving fleet efficiencies.
Vehicles and equipment operated by FloWorks are expected to be kept in good condition with up-to-date preventative maintenance. Vehicles should not be left idling unnecessarily and should use alternative fuels when possible.
Access to clean, potable water is a fundamental human right. Each FloWorks site is expected to consider, develop, and/or use measures to promote water conservation where possible. This can include equipment repairs and upgrades aimed at reducing water consumption, employee education, and water recycling.
FloWorks aims to implement waste management measures in order to limit the amount of materials that are used, sent to landfill, or transported. Each FloWorks site is expected to consider, develop, and/or use measures for recycling where possible. This includes recycling or responsibly disposing of paper, cardboard, fluids, tires, plastics, used engine oil, and solvents.
FloWorks also aims to support the safe and secure transportation of materials. This includes consideration for the selection of logistics service providers (including warehouses and terminals), selection and inspection of transport containers, loading and unloading of transport containers, securing, and sealing of transport containers, and responding to emergencies.
FloWorks aims to minimize environmental impacts on local habitats and biodiversity and protect natural resources and communities where we operate.
FloWorks aims to emphasize purchasing products with minimal impact on the environment when available. Preference should be given to products that minimally impact the environment and/or are made of recycled, renewable, or energy-efficient materials. Local purchasing should also be considered to reduce transportation-related impacts.
FloWorks is increasing awareness of its sustainability efforts by sending internal communications to its employees. Additional training regarding environmental awareness may also be provided to FloWorks employees based on job function.
FloWorks aims to achieve continuous improvement through monitoring, managing, and reporting of our environmental performance using ISO 14001 management principles.
FloWorks also aims to promote sustainable consumption among our customers and throughout our value chain. Please refer to FloWorks Supplier Code of Conduct for additional information on expectations of our suppliers.
FloWorks reserves the right to amend or modify this Policy at any time.
